I am a practising marketer and have been through so many interviews. I have noticed these are some of the frequently asked questions in my interviews. I am listing them here so you can prepare your answers to these and get ready for your next gig.

  6. Tools you have used for managing marketing &/or team
  7. Do you have experience in editorial calanders
  8. Relationship between SEO & Content Marketing
    Tip:- To me they are body and soul
  9. Which is an important and effective social media channel for your brand
  10. Your experience with marketing automation
  11. What is the role of advertisement in your strategy & your approach when building a digital strategy
    Tip:- Articulate objectives- Narrower the objectives better will be your strategy
  12. Share your experience in co-marketing campaigns
  13. Thought leadership at your organisation
  14. Time you worked with a team to create a campaign on a tight budget
    Tip:- A) Test — Measure — Learnings
    B) Simplify
    C) Be Agile
    D) Look at cost sharing partnerships
  15. How do you structure a marketing budget
  16. Share an experience when you have given constructive feedback to a colleague
  17. Share an experience when your team didn't agree with your direction and how did you handle it
    Tip:- It is usually fear of failure that makes disagreement.
  18. How do you handle negative feedback about your brand
  19. What is interesting about “our” current marketing what could we do better
  20. Why did you apply for the role
  21. Two things your bosses would want you to improve
    Tip:- Use STAR approach to answer this
